NICK BIDGOOD

NICK BIDGOOD (bass and vocals) has been playing on and off since 1972 when in school friend band Esmehippo, who appeared at the first Watchfield Festival c1974. The band went through various guises and ended up as The Monitors, who were signed to RSO in 1979. They appeared supporting Squeeze, and also did a John Peel Session in the same year.

After a break of about 15 years Nick joined up with former band member Lee Wellbrook They then met Graham Cousins  at a local folk club, and  formed the Missouri Gutts who  have made 3 albums and still play together doing originals and covers at festivals and pubs all over the south east of England.

Alan Cummings saw him playing at a local open mic night and asked if he would play with him and Stephen Brayne - and so was formed Little Beach.

Major influences would be John Entwhistle, John G Perry, Rick Danko and Ronnie Lane, and his current tastes run to just about anything "americana"
